Sister Library Project of USNCLIS

Cavite City Library and Museum has been designated as an Official Sister Library Site by the United States National Commission on Libraries and Information Science for us to participate in its Sister Libraries Project, which is project of the White House Millennium Council Project spearheaded by US First lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. The project focuses on the youth, and aims to link the young students from the US with those of other countries, through the Information Highway, and through their writings.

Plaque was given to CCLM by the UNCLIS

Storytelling Project

Storytelling sessions are periodically held at CCLM, particularly by the Day Care teachers, who bring their kids to CCLM to orient them about the library and museum. At the same time, they hold storytelling sessions. The kids also get to watch educational videos.

Establishment of Barangay Reading Centers

To date, we have donated more than three thousand books to the Barangays in our city. This is our way of sharing our resources with those people who cannot come to the library. They can have access to the books in their barangays.

Books for the School Libraries

We also donate books to the libraries of the public schools in our city, to help improve their library collection.

The officers and members of Friends of CCLM, with Adviser, Mayor Tim Encarnacion, Jr.,lend assistance to most of our projects.
